Each year the Gray Whales make a 5000-mile trek from the frigid Alaska
waters to their balmy breeding grounds in Baja's Laguna San Ignasio. There
they have their babies, and spend three months frolicking near the shore.
Not only are they not afraid of humans, but a small number of them chose to interact with man. These whales are called the "friendlies."
All this is threatened by big business and a corrupt government who
plan to drain the lagoon for profit.
We have intimate footage of these whales, both above and below the
water, including inside of one of the whale's mouths! The whales allowed
us to pet them, stroke their babies, and film their most personal of
moments together.
Underwater footage, "B-Roll" including interviews with naturalists,
(and celebrity Shari Lewis) and beautiful scenery available. Still
photographs available as well.
