In their complaint, Nath sought instructions from Amboli police after having seen the letter sent by him and his wife seeking libel lawsuits against Nanda. Previously, his lawyer had refuted all allegations against Nath.
Part of the complaint, as reported by PTI, reads: âThe plaintiffs (Nath and Ashu) on October 12 sent a letter to the Amboli police requesting action under Sections 499 (defamation) and 500 of the Indian Penal Code against Nanda. We therefore ask the court to send the necessary instructions to the Amboli police station in charge of examining their complaint and carrying out an investigation. The plaintiffs suffered serious and irreparable loss, damage and injury which could never be compensated in money.
Nath was accused by Nanda about a week ago in a Facebook post. She recounted how Nath, who starred in the ’90s Tara TV show she wrote, was guilty of sexual misconduct. As a result, he was removed from the series. She wrote, âI was not only raped, I was taken to my own home and was brutalized.
The complaint also mentioned that after the allegations the couple were even afraid to leave their home due to fear of how people would view them. The complaint reads: âWithout commenting on her (Nanda), the fact remains that all of these opportunities, such as the #MeToo campaign, are cashed in using social media with the aim of earning a name and fame. or for the purpose of defaming a person’s reputation.
