Doom Patrol Writer Checks In From Set At Start Of Season 4 Day 1

While it may not have had the “flashiness” of other shows, HBO Max’s third season of Doom Patrol was by far one of the most impressive offerings of the last year. And it seems viewers and critics are on board too, with the show getting the season 4 greenlight a month after its third season return in September 2021. But a new year brings good news about new adventures. by Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diana Guerrero), Cyborg aka Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), and Laura De Mille aka Madame Rouge (Michael Gomez). On Tuesday, we learned from the series’ writer/editor Eric Dietel (who recently wrote S03E09 “Evil Patrol”) via Twitter that filming was beginning: “Back on set for Doom Patrol Season 4 Day 1. Shout out to the best crew in the business – so many people have been here since the very beginning – and of course the most brilliant cast of all.”

The third season opens with the climax of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker which leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads, and each member is struggling to come to terms with who they are and who they want to be. And things get a lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission… if only she could remember.
