Former WWE Writer Thinks The Rock May Not Return To WWE During His 2023 Filming Break

The Rock is a massive figure in WWE culture, and fans want nothing more than to see him return. Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is one of WWE’s most anticipated matches. Many fans are waiting for the contest will take place at WrestleMania 39. Former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz thinks no one should hope for The Rock’s return to WWE.

Gewirtz spoke with Steve from NBC Sports To fall and said The Rock could focus his energy elsewhere. He pointed out that The Rock is also launching the XFL with Dany Garcia. So the Grand’s plate is full right now.

I saw a report on the internet at one point saying “Oh The Rock is not shooting any movies in February”. I don’t know if he is or not but he starts with Dany [Garcia] a gigantic football league, which could take time too.

The Rock’s time off from his busy filming schedule made a lot of headlines earlier this year. An episode of Young Rock also revealed that a match between Roman Reigns and The Rock could only take place at WrestleMania. Then again, Young Rock also teased a US presidential bid, but The Rock has already said that was not an option.

Brian Gewirtz is a close friend of The Rock and he works for Seven Bucks Productions. After working as a WWE writer for several years, he now regularly rubs shoulders with the People’s Champion. It really depends on what The Rock actually does when the time comes, as the anticipation for the match is still high.
