Gotham Season 5 Will Introduce The Ventriloquist And Other Classic Batman Villains

The fifth and final season of Gotham will feature the Ventriloquist and more classic Batman villains.

Gotham Executive producer John Stephens has confirmed that the series, which won’t air until 2019, will introduce DC characters such as Scarface, Ventriloquist, Mother, Orphan and Lady Shiva in its latest series.

Why not, huh?

“There’s a whole bunch of characters that I want to see that I think viewers in general aren’t fully aware of, like Scarface or Ventriloquist,” Stephens said. RBC.

“There’s a great dark version of this character out there somewhere that I’d love to see come out. Some characters that we know we want to see are Mother and Orphan.

“We want to see Lady Shiva. We’re going to see all of these characters in Season 5.”

Gotham season five will pick up after Jeremiah’s plan to detonate a series of massive bombs under the city streets, leaving Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the rest of the survivors facing a number of previously unknown enemies.

The show’s season four finale aired last week and managed to kill off some pretty iconic characters. Gotham characters in the process as well, setting the stage for the final season which will finally see Bruce complete his transformation into Batman after years of building.

Earlier this month, Jeremiah actor Cameron Monaghan explained the absence of the title “Joker” from the series.

In one Twitter post, Cameron revealed the decision not to officially name any of his characters as the Joker came “from the top down” in order to “reserve” the name for the DCEU film series.

Go figure.

Gotham airs on FOX in the US and on E4 in the UK, where seasons 1-3 are also available on demand via Netflix.
