EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures Television has signed an overall deal with writer Brittany Miller. As part of the pact, Miller will focus on developing comedies for scripted series on cable and streaming.

Miller recently served as co-producer on Season 2 of Blind spot for Starz and Lionsgate TV and has worked on two Sony Pictures TV series, as Executive Editor on Wake up for Hulu and as an editor on Platonic for Apple TV+.

“Having been a rock star on the staff of multiple shows – both live and hosted – Brittany has become an invaluable contributor and brilliant comedic voice for us,” said Glenn Adilman, EVP Comedy Development, Sony Pictures Television. “We are excited to continue investing in our creative future together.”

Miller is a San Francisco Bay Area mom, TV writer, and book lover. Hailing from suburban America, she is deeply invested in stories about identity, culture, and social justice, especially when those stories make people laugh.

“Glenn, Scott, Frank, Jenn and the entire Sony team have been great partners to me early in my career, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue working with them in this new role. “said Miller.

It is replaced by UTA, Write Large and Jackoway.
