Cam teams up with Duo Transcend for a heartwarming – and terrifying – performance as the quarter-finals end with some surprise results.
The “America has talent” the quarter-finals were all but over, just waiting for the five acts that would advance to the semi-finals, which begin next week.
This week’s competition was not as strong as last week, but also much, much harder to predict. There were a lot of strong singing acts, but were there too many? America rejected singing dominance last week, but also doesn’t seem to have much of a sense of humor this season, as evidenced by the complete lack of comedians moving forward.

We loved insulting comedian Alex Hooper, but don’t see America getting on board with a guy insulting people amid calls for positivity and support in the speech.
Our final predictions were that poet Brandon Leake, puppeteers Lightwave Theater Company, and vocalists Celina, Resound, and Broken Roots would come forward, but was that too many singers? Too few?
Of course, before we could review the results, we had to deal with some padding, which saw Daredevils Duo Transcend return for a surprisingly moving performance with country singer Cam. Then, Sofia vergara kept his promise to show his ventriloquism, with the help of Darci Lynne.
A touching segment had contestants share an image that represents a motivating person or moment that catapulted them to this point. It’s always great to personalize the stories of these contestants because we all know story gets as many votes, if not sometimes more, than actual talent.
Who do I think I am? you ask. Well, I’ve spent almost a decade of my life sweating and bleeding to the beat of music as a dancer. From a young boy learning a shuffle-ball change to performing with the St. Louis Ballet Company, I’ve experienced the ups and downs of one of the most physically demanding sports on the planet. During this time, I was also a member of the Orchester symphonique des jeunes de Saint-Louis, as well as a gymnast, writer and designer. I had a lot more energy in my youth. And I’ve spent the past eighteen years analyzing and reviewing reality shows for various media publications. I have this.

FILLING
Duo Transcend & Cam
Sometimes these collaborations are just awkward, but the accompaniment of Cam’s vocals to Duo Transcend’s routine added another level of artistry and storytelling to their incredible and dangerous stunts. Always a breathtaking performance, they took it to the next level. Yes, we’ve seen most of these tips before, but as a demo performance it was both emotional and exciting.
Sofia Vergara & Darciy Lynne
Ever since Sofia let go that she could do all that ventriloquist thing, we’ve been dying to see it. And we have to admit, we love that “AGT” brought their own ventriloquist to check it out with us. It was one of the cutest and funniest segments of the show. Sofia didn’t have the chance to really show how funny she is, and with a cameo of Howie mandel (and “Simon Cowell”), this had us in stitches from top to bottom.

Dunkin ‘Save
Before we got to all of these fun distractions, we had to send in three acts to sweat for the duration of the show as the fourth, fifth, and sixth votes. One would be saved by America’s vote tonight, another by the judges and the final act had to sweat it all out just to get home anyway.
Bello Sisters, Celina and Resound were those acts, and one of them absolutely blew me away. We had Resound as the second best act of the evening. They are absolutely amazing at what they do. The other two didn’t make our official Top 5, but Celina is one of our predictions for your Top 5.

Top 5
Kenedie Dodds was the first name called, alongside Noah Epps. None of these acts progressed under any circumstances. Did you feel bad that you didn’t progress enough singers and young singers last week (and now I thought you had grown up)?
May be. Whatever your reason, Kenadi dodds Advanced. Even though we didn’t think she would progress, we thought she was ready to launch her career right now, so we’re not sorry about that. But she got more votes than Resound?
Then, Terry’s crews Really threw us in for a ringtone by putting three other acts from our Top 5 on the line at the same time – so only one would move forward. Broken Roots vs. Alex Hooper vs. Lightwave Theater Company. So looks like tonight is going to be kind of a singer’s night, eh?
Well here are two more to help you as a Broken roots went from being eliminated in the judges’ round to the semi-finals.

Brandon Leake, CA Wildcats and Divas & Drummers of Compton then went head-to-head, meaning the two big groups had to know right away that this was the end of their journey. Brandon took this show to another level last night. We have to see it again.
And we go like Brandon’s escape easily slipped into that third place.
From there it was all about the numbers of Dunkin ‘Save. Of the Bello Sisters, Celina and Resound, two would come forward. Would America and the Judges make the two vocal acts move forward?
First of all, it was America’s insta-save. After voting throughout the show, America gave her love to Celina, which wasn’t much of a surprise. She is a great singer and her story clearly touches America.
This left an incredible vocal trio against an incredible acrobatic trio. But which trio has the most life in this competition. Spoiler alert, our vote totally still goes for Resound. Did we mention they’re amazing?
well done

The judges are known to lobby for different kinds of talent, which could serve the Bello sisters here. Sofia cast the first vote in their direction. Heidi klum even supported the angle of the variety, but still voted for Resound, putting the decision in Howie’s hands.
And he finalized the variety push, handing over Bello sisters last place in the semifinals, which is just heartbreaking for Resound.
We say final, but Terry then teased that there would be a Wild Card act in next week’s semifinals, so we can all start speculating on who might come back. Or maybe two acts will return if each semifinals week features a Wild Card.
Our guess is that they will come from the four acts that were cut under the closing credits of those quarterfinals, so either Resound, Nolan Neal, Alexis & the Puppy Pals, or Feng E (which was our strongest act the last). night he played) may well return at this point.
âAmerica’s Got Talentâ advances to the semifinals next Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
